Pirimicarb Wettable Powder 50%
Pirimicarb 50% WP
A selective systemic insecticide with contact, stomach, and respiratory action
Trade Name: ®Pirimor
Group: Carbamate
Mode of Action:
Pirimicarb inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase at the synaptic region of the insect central nervous system, causing disruption of neural transmission and paralysis in target pests.
Pirimicarb is absorbed primarily through the roots and translocated via the xylem vessels throughout the plant. Foliar absorption also occurs, but systemic movement through leaves is limited.
Pirimicarb is a selective aphicide, providing effective control of many aphid species, including those resistant to organophosphate insecticides.
For maximum effectiveness, application should be initiated immediately upon observing the first signs of aphid infestation.
