Pirimicarb Wettable Powder 50%

Pirimicarb 50% WP

A selective systemic insecticide with contact, stomach, and respiratory action

Trade Name: ®Pirimor
Group: Carbamate

Mode of Action:
Pirimicarb inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase at the synaptic region of the insect central nervous system, causing disruption of neural transmission and paralysis in target pests.

Application Management:

  • Pirimicarb is absorbed primarily through the roots and translocated via the xylem vessels throughout the plant. Foliar absorption also occurs, but systemic movement through leaves is limited.

  • Pirimicarb is a selective aphicide, providing effective control of many aphid species, including those resistant to organophosphate insecticides.

  • For maximum effectiveness, application should be initiated immediately upon observing the first signs of aphid infestation.
