Pirimicarb Wettable Powder 50% Pirimicarb 50% WP A selective systemic insecticide with contact, stomach, and respiratory action
Mode of Action:
Pirimicarb inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase at the synaptic region of the insect central nervous system, causing disruption of neural transmission and paralysis in target pests.
Application Management:
- Pirimicarb is absorbed primarily through the roots and translocated via the xylem vessels throughout the plant. Foliar absorption also occurs, but systemic movement through leaves is limited.
- Pirimicarb is a selective aphicide, providing effective control of many aphid species, including those resistant to organophosphate insecticides.
