Fenix Outdoor – All-Purpose Peat Substrate
Multi-Purpose Growing Medium
This peat substrate is suitable for cultivating a wide range of agricultural crops. It improves the physical properties of the soil and prevents the accumulation of heavy metals. Pure peat, as an environmentally safe material rich in nutrients, is an excellent organic choice and growing medium for agricultural crops.
Peat can serve as a suitable substrate for growing houseplants, greenhouse crops, and garden plants. Vegetables and fruits produced with peat are nutrient-rich, free of toxic substances and pathogens, and free from radiation and heavy metals. Peat has no environmental hazards and is widely used in horticulture.
Composition:
Deep peat
Perlite
Mineral fertilizers
Peat is considered a general-purpose substrate for crop cultivation. In case of excess water in the soil, the extra water is quickly drained due to the structure of the peat substrate, which prevents root rot. When water creates a highly wet area around the roots, the roots remain exposed to air because of peat’s porous structure, keeping the substrate aerated. Nutrients dissolved in water are retained in the substrate, while only excess water is lost. This complex system provides a strong foundation for plant growth.
Application Guidelines:
For grafting, planting, and transplanting in pots or containers:
Add a layer of expanded clay or vermiculite in the pot or container.
Add a small amount of substrate.
Place the plant in the pot or container.
Cover the roots and fill the container with substrate. Ensure the upper layer is exposed to air for aeration.
In greenhouses:
Suitable for seedlings, vegetables, ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, and even turf.
For outdoor cultivation:
Spread the substrate on the intended area or mix it with the native soil. Then plant the seedlings and water the plants.
Moisture preparation:
If needed, moisten the substrate well before use. Ensure that water droplets are visible on the substrate surface, and avoid using dry substrate.
Fertilization:
After planting in peat substrate, plants require regular fertilization. Fertilization should begin 4 to 6 weeks after planting.
